Remote leadership training for leaders and leadership teams: rituals and communication norms that bridge distance. Building trust and psychological safety without presence. Clarifying expectations, roles and availability. Hybrid fairness: why hybrid setups are the hardest, and how they work.
Remote Leadership · Vienna, International & remote
Leadership that holds across distance.
Remote and hybrid work has become normal. Leading remotely is something few of us were ever taught. Trust, connection and clarity do not emerge across distance as a side effect: they need leadership that designs them deliberately.
The problem
Distance removes the incidental signals leadership usually lives on: hallway talk, a quick glance, the spontaneous conversation. What remains are meetings and chat. Without active counter-steering you get teams that deliver but quietly disengage, and leaders oscillating between control and flying blind.
The offer
1:1 coaching for remote leaders: your daily leadership reality at a distance, your concrete situations.
Team formats: when the whole team needs new norms, we work with the team directly.
Why me
Remote leadership is not something I read up on. At TU Wien I researched the new world of work and flexible work models. At refurbed, as Head of People & Organizational Development, I helped shape the shift to a successful remote-first organization with a team of 250+. And at a vocational education centre in Vienna I moved an entire institution from classroom teaching to remote. Research, first-hand leadership practice and psychology: that combination is the training.
Voices
“Alessandro is the person I go to when I get stuck on a problem, or when I feel I need another brain to think certain things through. He’s always so patient and loves to help. He’s also the one person who will know new tools or innovations that are out there to make life easier.”
“Alessandro always keeps the bigger picture in mind and considers different possible outcomes. He proactively identifies potential benefits and risks, shares them with others, and encourages the team to think in the same way. Additionally, he works in a highly fact-based manner, drawing on data and research, and applies this knowledge efficiently.”

FAQ
What is remote leadership?
Leading people who do not share a location: fully remote or hybrid. It differs substantially from co-located leadership in communication, trust-building and steering, and it can be learned.
Does the training itself work remotely?
Yes, deliberately so: a remote training demonstrates the methods in their real medium. In-person formats, for example as part of an offsite, work just as well.
We are hybrid, not fully remote. Does this apply?
Especially then. Hybrid setups are the most demanding because two realities have to be led at once. The training treats hybrid fairness as a topic of its own.
Who is this for?
Leaders, leadership teams and organizations that work distributed: from team lead to executive level. No prior knowledge needed.
How long does it take?
From a half-day workshop to a multi-part programme with implementation phases. What fits depends on your starting point and goal. We clarify that in a free intro call.
