Employee Listening: continuous employee surveys
Monthly pulse surveys make satisfaction, strain, and learning visible across your teams. Leaders get current results for their own team and turn them into concrete action.
Practical experience
At a tech scale-up, I designed a monthly Employee Listening system and led the team that ran it for several years. The survey took five minutes and covered:
- Satisfaction: with team, manager, department leadership, and company
- Strain: workload and demands
- Learning: what people learned over the past month
- Open comments: concerns and feedback in free form
Monthly participation ranged between 65 and 75 percent.
Success factors
- Leaders: interpret the results and discuss them with their team
- Monitoring: teams with notable scores are tracked over several months and supported as needed
- Transparency: overall results are communicated to all employees
AI-supported operation
Data maintenance, analysis, and dashboards can now be largely automated with AI. That reduces ongoing effort and license costs. The system runs on your own infrastructure.
Annual in-depth analysis
Alongside the monthly survey, an annual assessment with the Copenhagen Psychosocial Questionnaire III provides a scientific status report. This internationally validated standard instrument covers more than 20 dimensions of psychosocial factors at work, from job demands and role clarity to perceived strain and commitment. Results are compared against European benchmarks and serve as a basis for assessing psychosocial risk at work.
Services
- Design: questionnaire, survey rhythm, anonymity rules, and roles, tailored to your organization
- Setup: implementation in your IT environment, including dashboards and trend views for leaders
- Support: briefings for leaders, analysis of results, and interventions for teams that need them
- In-depth analysis: annual survey with the Copenhagen Psychosocial Questionnaire III, including EU benchmark and prioritized recommendations
Anonymity and data protection
- Anonymity threshold: leaders see results only above a defined minimum number of responses
- Data sovereignty: all data stays on your infrastructure
- Involvement: your data protection officer and, where one exists, works council are engaged from the design phase onward
As a psychologist and organizational developer, I design Employee Listening as a basis for dialogue and development in your teams.
